Innovative TechnologiesMT operates a full service engineering design and fabrication facility. At this 50,000 square foot licensed manufacturing facility, MT designs and builds customized equipment for remediation projects. MT has designed and built environmental dredge buckets, materials scows, transport barges and work platforms. Our thermal and water treatment systems are constructed, modified, and maintained with the expertise of our fabrication facility. Dredge Buckets - MT designed and constructed several excavator mounted environmental buckets ranging in size from 1 to 5 cubic yards. Our buckets are state-of-the-art and address shortcomings of other designs. Our custom buckets minimize turbidity, maximize sediment solids content, and have a sealed bucket design to limit water spillage during dredging. Equipment Modifications - MT modifies equipment to meet project specific needs and we also make adjustments to purchased equipment to ensure it can get the job done. At the New Bedford Superfund Site, North of the Wood Street area, Maxymillian's in-house fabrication shop customized our 80-foot long reach excavator so that it was able to effectively remove sediments from the Acushnet River channel. At another Superfund Site, the Pownal Tannery Site in Vermont, MT modified an Allu mixer to meet the site-specific requirements. Use of Global Position System (GPS) Technology - MT was an early adopter of GPS technology to deliver unsurpassed dredging precision. Our excavators and buckets are equipped with state of the art GPS to provide the equipment operator with precise three coordinate control of dredging operations. The GPS is integrated with a dredging software package that allows the operator to "as surveyed" and "as dredged" depths for individual cells. In unrestricted atmospheric conditions, our GPS systems are accurate to within 1" or less in three dimensions. |
