Award Winning Health & Safety
One of MT's core values is conducting projects with the greatest care for the health and safety of our employees, subcontractors and customer personnel and the people in the communities where we work.
All team members, managers and their employees, as well as any site visitors, are responsible for health and safety. Everyone on the site is required to assume responsibility to ensure a safe work environment, integrating health and safety into all aspects of the project.
MT emphasizes health and safety precautions in all phases of a project. Our health and safety principles are endorsed by MT company officers:
- Employee safety is necessary to our success
- Injuries are preventable
- All employees have a right to information and training
- Safe working practices are a condition of employment
- Preventing injuries is a responsibility of everyone
Comprehensive Health & Safety Program
MT emphasizes both OSHA and site-specific safety issues. MT holds daily toolbox meetings, weekly safety meetings, and yearly refresher and safety status meetings. The overall Safety program includes the following selected components:
- HAZWOPER 40-hour training program, with annual refresher courses
- Safety supervision at all sites
- Safety Incentive Program
- Personal protective equipment policy
