Chester Waterfront Redevelopment Project

MT successfully completed a large environmental remediation project as part of the redevelopment of the Chester waterfront area in Pennsylvania. As part of the project, MT excavated and disposed of approximately 3,500 CY of contaminated materials.

Using our own Caterpillar 330L Excavator, experienced MT operators removed contaminants, excavating soils at depths up to 8 feet using techniques that included sloping, shoring, and bracing. MT also installed temporary and permanent erosion control measures, performed materials handling and segregation, and dewatered saturated soils to reduce moisture content prior to load-out. MT conducted extensive site restoration activities to return the site to pre-construction conditions, including re-establishing 850 LF of coastal riprap revetment.
