MassDOT – Bridge No. N-14-016 Replacement — Route 2 (State Road) over the Hoosic River, North Adams, MA
Construction is underway on this $15.5 million complete replacement of the two-span Bridge No. N-14-016, carrying Route 2 (State Road) over the Hoosic River in North Adams, Mass. This multi-year project encompasses a full range of heavy civil operations: utility relocation, installation of a large concrete cofferdam to divert the river around the active work area, earthwork, bridge deck and substructure (abutment and pier) demolition, H-pile driving, micropile installation, structural beam picks, contaminated water treatment, concrete deck pours, paving, traffic control, and wetlands restoration.
